St. Marys and Listowel are tied after the first two games of the Sutherland Cup final.

The Lincolns improved to 8-1 on the road in the playoffs after a 3-2 win Friday at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex. Jaden Lee scored a pair of first-period goals for St. Marys, while Luca Spagnolo netted the winner at 8:46 of the middle frame. He also added two assists.

Brandon Abbott made 33 saves.

Luke Eurig and Harrison Meulensteen replied for the Cyclones. Dixon Grimes stopped 17 shots.

St. Marys was 0-for-4 on the power play, and Listowel went 0-for-2.

Sunday at the Pyramid Recreation Centre, Mason and Luke Eurig each had a goal and assist in Listowel’s 4-1 win. Carter Coombs and Jordan Alexander had the other goals. Cam McNevan added a pair of helpers, and Grimes made 34 saves.

Owen Voortman scored for the Lincolns in front of 1,439 fans. Abbott made 24 saves.

St. Marys was 0-for-6 with the man advantage, and Listowel went 0-for-1.

Game 3 is Tuesday in Listowel at 7:30 p.m.
